Picture above is the Family of James Leroy Haynes, Sr and Betty Lou Cowan Haynes. James Leroy Haynes, Sr was born in Russell Kentucky on December 22, 1927 and departed this earth on August 25, 1997. His birthparents where David Hillman Haynes and Godie Mae Cook Haynes. He lived most of his life in Logan and Wyoming County West Virginia. He served in the Korea Conflict and was wounded during battle. After returning to the States he completed his Barber training and was in that trade until 1963 which at that time he was disabled due to his injuries. Betty Lou Cowan Haynes was born March 13, 1930 in Mullens West Virginia she is the daughter of the late Clyde Cowan and Elvie Mankin Cowan Kidd. She has always lived her life in the Wyoming County area and was a devoted Wife and Mother. She was the backbone of the Haynes Family and carried the load and responsability of not only caring for her Family, but her Husbands parents and her own. She still resides in Wyoming County and still in fair health.
