MATTHEW 16:18-19

Introduction:
Over nineteen hundred years ago,Jesus our Lord,built His Church, He had nothing to do
with the present denominations that exist today all over the vorld,in fact He warned 
against this in Matthew 15:13, by saying: "But he answered and said, Every plant 
which my Heavenly FATHER hath not planted, shall be rooted up." 

At the judgement, we are not going to be judged by the doctrines and commandments of 
men but, Jesus says in John 12:48;"He that rejecteth me,and receiveth not my words, 
hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in 
the last day,

So let us study with an open mind what the Word of God the Bible has to say 
concerning the Church that JESUS built.

(I).Man's Opinion concerning The LORD"S Church;
A.Any Church is alright, So Go to the Church of Your Choice; 
1.The Church is not Necessary anyhow. Acts 20:28.

B.Let us notice some Bible Truths;
1.The Scriptures is all that One needs to serve GOD;
2 Timothy 3:16-17.
2.The Apostle Paul admonished Timothy to Preach the Word; (or scr-iptures). 
2 Timothy 4:1-4.
3.The Apostle informs one How to Speak; 1 Peter 4:11.
4.The Apostle John warns about adding or taking away from GOD'S Word; Revelatlon 
22:18-19.
5.John again warns about going beyond GOD'S Instructions; 2 John 9-11.
6.The Apostle Paul declares a curse on anyone Preaching another Gospel.
Galatians 1:6-12.

(II).What is the Church?
A.A called out body of people; 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14; Matthew 11:28-30; Acts 2:39.
1.The word Church comes from the Greek word,"EKKLESTA", meaning called out.
2.It is also the Body of Christ;
Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18,24; Ephesians 4:4; 1 Corin-thians 12:12-31; 
Ephesians 2:16; Colossians 3:15.
3.It is also the Kingdom; Matthew 16:19; Colossians 1:13-14.


(III).When Was The Church Established By CHRIST?
A.Let us check the Prophets, then see the Prophesy Fulfilled in the New Testament:
Isaiah 2:2-3; 49:22; Daniel 2:44-45; Zecharlah 2:10-11; Micah 4:1-13; 
Deteronomy 18:15-22.
B.The Fulfillment of the Prophecy:
1.Kingdom, Church, or Body of CHRIST at hand; Ready to come into existence;
Matthew 3:1-2
2.Jesus is to build.His Church, Kingdom; or his Body; Matthew 16:13-19.
3.Kingdom, Church, or Body of CHRIST, was to come with power; Mark 9:1.
4.Day of Pentecost, an annuial feast to be kept by the Jews at Jerusalem where GOD 
had placed His name there. Leviticus 23:15-21; Deuteronomy 16:9-12.
5.The Prophesy of Joel and the Fulfillment;
Joel 2:28-32; Acts 2:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:39. 6.The Last Days Fulfilled;
Hebrews 1:1-2; 2:1-4.
7.The Year That Jesus Built His Church; 33-A.D.
Luke 3;21-23.
a.His ministery lasted three years after He was Baptized by Jol*n; 8.The City where 
he built it was Jerusalem; Luke 24:47,49.
9.The Day of the Week was the First Day,(Sunday, Pentecost,5Oth.) Leviticus 23:13-21;
Deuteronomy 16:9-12.
a.Time of Day was 9:00 A.M.. The Jews day begun at 6:00 in Mornin.:
Acts 2;15.

(IV).Terns Of Admission, or Enterance Into The Kingdom,Church,or Body of Christ;
A.Gospel Must Be Preached Which Is The Call of GOD:
Mark 16:15-16; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 1:16-17. 1.One Must believe The Gospel;
Mark 16:16; Hebrews 11:6;
2.One Must Repent of all Sins;
Luke 24:47; 13:3.
3.One Must Confess Christ Before Man;
Matthew 10:32-33; Romans 10:9-10.
4.One Must be Baptized INTO Christ'S Body, Kingdom, or Church; For the remission of 
Sins; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; Romans 6;3-4; Galatians 3:26-27. 
a.The Lord adds one to His Church, Kingdom, or Body.

(V).What it Means To Be In The Church, Kingdom; or Body of Christ;
1.Those in Christ are Neit Creatures;
2 Corinthians 5:17.
2.Those in ChrisThave Redemption of sin;
Colossians 1:13-14.
3.Those in Christ enjoy all Promises of GOD;
2 Corinthians 1:20.
4.Those in Christ Have Salvation;
2 Timothy 2:10.
5.Those in Christ are made complete;
Colossians 2:10.
6.Those in Christ enjoy all Spiritual Blessings; Ephesidns 1:3.
7.Those in Christ have No Condemnation;

CONCLUSION:
