(I).What Prayer Is Not For;

1.Prayer is not for the sinner:
John 9:31; Proverbs 28:9; 1 Peter 3:12.

2.Prayer is not for salvation:
a.People on Pentecost; Acts 2:38
b.Cornelius and His Household; Acts 10:6,22,32-33; 11:14. 
c.The Apostle Paul rehearses His Conversion to the people; Acts 22:16 
d.Jesus, in His sermon on the mount; Matthew 7:21.
e.Jesus gave the Great Comission; Mark 16:15-16.

3.Prayer is not for the Love of God to be manifested; John 3:16-17; Romans 5:8.

4.Prayer is not for the grace of God;
Titus 2:11-13.

5.Prayer is not for Self Righteousness;
Luke 18:10-14.

(II).What Prayer Is For;

1.Prayer is for the Christian; (children of God).

1 Peter 3:12.
2.Prayer is for Supplication, and Thanksgiving;
1 Timothy 2:1.

3.Prayer is to be in Faith;
Matthew 21:22; James 1:6.

4.Prayer is to be according to God's Will; 1 John 5:14.

5.Prayer is to be in the name of Christ;
John 14:13; Colossians 3:17.

(III).God's General Instructions In Prayer:

1.Prayer to be offered in secret; Matthew 6:6.

2.In prayer, use not vain Repetitions; Matthew 6:7-8.

3.Prayer to be offered for those who persecute us: Matthew 5:44.

4.Prayer should be a Habit with Christians; (habit; a custom hard to depart from). 
Luke 8:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Daniel 6:10.

5.Prayer is to be offered for all men;
1 Timothy 2:1-2.

6.Prayer is to be offered by Christians everywhere;
1 Timothy 2:8.
7.Tn worship to God, Prayer is one of the (5) items of worship; Acts 2:42; 12:5.

(IV).Jesus Taught His Disciples The Model Prayer; Matthew 6:9-13.

(V).The Position Of One's Body In Prayer;

1.Jesus Prayed To GOD after falling on His Face in the Garden of Gethsemane;

2.Jesus Prayed Kneeling: Luke 22:41.
a.Daniel Prayed Three Times a day Kneeling; Daniel 6:10-11.

CONCLUSION

In Prayer To GOD According To HIS Word, The Position Of Our Physicial
Body Is Not The Important Factor, But What We Have In Our Heart As We
Talk With HIM. Colossians 3:12-17.
